Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/De La Salle University-College of Liberal Arts

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not much more can be written about the subject other than statistics and a list of courses. This information is better suited for (and most can be found in) the university's webpage, not on Wikipedia. --Ronaldo Guevara 15:25, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: This seems like a recreation of the university's own pages. I hope we don't attempt to subsume external web structures like this. I'm sure it's a fine university, but the main article on the school is all we need. Geogre 16:37, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - I seem to remember completely re-organizing the page a few weeks ago, and it seemed fine to me. [[User:Mike Storm|MikeStorm]] (whoops - forgot to add my signature originally)
  • Comment: Is the previous comment from User:Mike Storm? Yes, I saw your edits on the page, which were indeed a big improvement on the original one. However, as an alumnus myself of the university in which this college belongs, I don't see the need for this page at all. It is not significantly distinct from the University to warrant another page. At best, I think any additional information on the college can be placed in the university's main article, De La Salle University. At worst, leaving this article will mean that, in the interest of completeness, all the other colleges will need to be covered, with similar banal details. --Ronaldo Guevara 17:40, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: I agree that this information would be more appropriate as part of an article regarding the entire university. It does not merit a separate entry. Skyler 20:18, Aug 6, 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: Unsure. Lots of issues here. I think the detail here is excessive for the main article. Leaving this here doesn't oblige us to write articles for all the other colleges, just to accept them if someone does write them. That's how Wikipedia works. Probably a keep, but I'd like to see a bit more discussion first, so no vote as yet. Andrewa 22:05, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Do we really need a "Wikipedia is not your college catalog" policy? Why should this go in an encyclopedia? Isomorphic 02:25, 7 Aug 2004 (UTC)
