WCN - etentje[edit]

Cheers for translating! Would you be able to do the reverse translation for the polemics in Netherlands? I could then translate back to Spanish, which would surely be of interest for the Spanish Wiki... Salud! Tazmaniacs 22:59, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll think about it. It would take me some time so I'll look first if it is worth the effort. Do you know if it is customary to translate the discussion with the main article? Groet Scafloc 13:31, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:FotoRuudLubbers.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:FotoRuudLubbers.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:05, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

De Witt[edit]

I saw you changed the article of Johan de Witt. You changed the first letter of the first part of his last name from "de" to "De" (de Witt -> De Witt. Although in Dutch "de" is part of the last name it is never written with a capital.
One could argue that on the english version of Wikipedia English grammar should prevail but I think it is more important that the person is general known as "de Witt".

Regards, Scafloc 17:37, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not so. The Dutch write a capital letter when no other name (or initial) precedes. Therefore it is: "Johan de Witt", "J. de Witt" "his name is De Witt", "the family De Witt" "Mr De Witt". This is Dutch usage. 82.75.73.146 (talk) 16:17, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 21[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ashot Ashkelon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABP. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
