Hi Hagedis

Just wanted to say thanks for catching the vandalism to Collective Nouns - I didn't even see it. Welcome to the 'pedia :) - ManningBartlett

Thanks. I was unsure about reverting the page because "ugly of walruses" looked like it had been vandalised once already :-)

I don't think it is quite fair to say Wellington will be destroyed at any momnt. On the potential of seismic activity you'd have to add California, chunks of Japan, and eastern US and western Europe to that kind of 'knife-edge'.

Not to mention south Asia and south and central America. It's true that estimates for Wellington are usually in the form "20-25% chance in the next 50 years", or "50-99% chance in the next 100 years" not "any moment, run for your lives". Perhaps I'm getting careless with my check-in comments :-)

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Your user page[edit]

I found your old user page while checking out some old deleted contributions. I have history merged it, so that all edits are in one place. Hope you don't mind. Graham87 10:24, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Kingdom of Afghanistan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

the entire article is a POV, the sources provided are referring to the modern nation state Afghanistan, which was established as a monarchy in 1747 by Ahmad Shah Durrani and ended in 1973, and there is already a complete article on that nation.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ahmed shahi (talk) 01:06, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

History of Western philosophy listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect History of Western philosophy. Since you had some involvement with the History of Western philosophy redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so).
