This template should be a standard CVG navbox![edit]

This template has become extremely cumbersome. The markup unnecessarily convoluted. Also, its use and appearance in various series-related articles is nonuniform: appearing at the top of one page, in the middle of others, and under different sections of each (e.g. "External Links" or "Publication"). I propose to completely "overhaul" this template according to these guidelines: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Computer_and_video_games/Navboxes. Dxdt 18:41, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here are my proposed changes. I've put them here on the Talk page rather than directly updating the template because I want community feedback before making such a drastic change.
This navbox is not in standard form. Most CVG navboxes list only the game titles and link to other information such as characters and locations (see Template:Metal Gear series). Ideally, there would be separate navboxes for "Games," "Characters," and "Miscellaneous" (see Kirby's Dream Land for example). This layout, however, preserves the spirit of the original sidebar: all the relevant information in one place.
Please note that once this change is implemented, all pages referencing {{JP Franchise}} or {{Journeyman Project series}} will need to be updated.

Looks fine to me. Eventually, I think we could merge most of the stuff that's in separate articles in this list into single articles anyway. ~ Oni Lukos ct 21:32, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have migrated the proposal to Template:Journeyman Project series/Temp and added some more to it. ~ Oni Lukos ct 14:21, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
