Northstar7 is a New Yorker interested in mountaineering, technology, global warming and ecosystems.

I grew up in the New York area and went to college in New Haven, CT.

Most of my career has entailed the combination of writing and technology. I was an editor at Physics Today and subsequently worked in public relations at a large agency in New York.

I then moved to the United Nations, where I was managing editor of the journal Natural Resources and Energy. While there I also edited several conference proceedings that were published in book form and assisted with various administrative tasks.

Subsequently I worked at two public relations agencies in Manhattan, handling such clients as Sony, DEC and a number of internet-related companies, including Xing and Agency.com.

My wife and I now own and manage a health food store and I do occasional public relations and editing work.

I have just become a Wikipeian as of May 2005, so my contributions are minimal as yet.
