  • Delete: Looks like a very locally (London...some tube stops) notable person. I don't know if the page is vanity or tribute, but most cities with street performers have their locally famous musicians, but if he cannot extend his reach beyond the station steps, he's not encyclopedic, IMO.

  • He does get almost 300 relevant Google hits. We have kept articles about people of this level of notability before. Keep. —Morven 15:33, Sep 7, 2004 (UTC)
  • This particular musician performs regularly in such diverse locations as Dorset, Scotland, North Yorkshire, the Midlands, in fact rarely anywhere near a "tube station". In addition to the "300 Google hits" mentioned above, his official website is the "top hit" in Google, Altavista, Ask Jeeves and others. Dr. Busker has produced three studio albums to date and has been featured on national and local TV. One of his controversial songs caused an outcry from residents (taken up by BBC Radio) by daring to suggest that the "new town" of Milton Keynes is "boring". In the last week (as of 7th September 2004) he has entertained crowds of thousands at the Great Dorset Steam Fair which has introduced such artists as The Wurzels and Gordon Haskell to the listening public. By all means delete him, but then delete all the other people who still have an article and have less to their names than that! Amos Wolfe
    • Could you perhaps include that information in the article? That would have helped a great deal, you know. As it is presented, it looks like a busker. The photo is of him busking. The article's indications of fame are so hyperbolic and purple that facts are the last thing they give. Geogre 16:07, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep and improve - try cleanup first. The article seems well written, and submitted by a decent contributor, so its very likely not true vanity. -- Netoholic @ 18:09, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep and improve. I don't believe it's vanity, looking at some Google hits he seems to be a figure of some note in the traction engine circuit (don't worry if you don't understand what I'm talking about, it's probably a British thing). NOT a tube busker, a real Victorian style entertainer, frequently appearing at traction engine rallies across the country (by which I mean he is booked to play a gig by the organisers).     • This page has now been moved to Dr. Busker and links to the old page have been updated. The page itself has been update, citing more facts and less "spiel". -=# Amos E Wolfe #=-
