At that moment it makes no claim the he is notable. If you can provide such a claim, feel free to remove the speedy tag. I would do it quickly though, you never know when an admin will get around to looking at the speedy deletion category. --GraemeL (talk) 18:54, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Understanding that the article is undergoing edits by you. You wish to include the following link: [1]. It shows a photograph of the man. Thanks, --Kilo-Lima 22:12, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Kahr[edit]

Hi, you suggested clean up on Andrew Kahr. In what way does the article not reach the minimum level of quality needed by Wikipedia? Thanks in advance. User:killerdark

-- I have to admit I followed the links on your user page to figure out what to fix... Thanks.

And now it even starts to look like a normal Wiki page. I will continue to keep an eye on the Andrew Kahr page, to see how to create the right wiki looks.

So, who makes the Andrew Kahr page? He may be secretive but we know where he lives for sure

Careful trimming of Notable books[edit]

Thanks for all your effort trimming the list notable books, but I noticed that you removed a few that were not actually covered by wikipedia or had very little coverage. In general, err to the side of caution before removing the topic because the ultimate goal of this project is expanding coverage, not just pruning the lists, though lots of pruning needs to be done. Removing all of the blue links on a list is usually a VERY BAD IDEA. Some of the articles like The Masquerader, The Net, The Passion, The Other actually covered the movie and not the book. There were other books like The Periodic Table or The Peter Principle that redirect to another completely different idea. This does not include articles that include coverage about the film and the movie like The Postman Always Rings Twice which barely touches on the book, like when it was released, any awards that it might have gotten. Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I did not check on all of the items that you removed but please check to see that the link actually corresponds to what the item is. See the guidelines at the main Missing articles page. By the way, I made the same mistake when I started working on this project, which is why I'm particularly watching for it. Thanks again for trimming the list but please do be more careful. --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 15:29, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you were interested in the (N)POV status of the Tsakhiagiyn Elbegdorj article. His political opponent now got similarly treated under the opposite sign. Care to comment? --Latebird 23:01, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elbegdorj[edit]

Thanks. I haven't done such a major cleanup on an existing article recently. We should probably both patrol the articles on these Mongolian politicians for a while to make sure that the POV is not added back in. Academic Challenger 03:20, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Billy mays.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Billy mays.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --– Quadell (talk) (random) 19:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ptgrimm.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ptgrimm.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Lovemetal.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lovemetal.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Pawlowski.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Pawlowski.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:53, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Message regarding your use of the No Multi License Template[edit]

In case you are not aware, the Wikimedia Foundation has proposed that the copyright licensing terms on the wikis operated by the WMF – including Wikipedia – be changed to include the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) license in addition to the current GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) as allowed by version 1.3 of the GFDL. The community has approved this change with 75.8% in favor, and on June 15, 2009, the change will take effect.
You currently have {{NoMultiLicense}} on your user or user talk page, which states that your edits are licensed under the GFDL only. On or before June 15, this template will be changed to reflect Wikipedia's new licensing terms. If you accept the licensing change, you do not need to do anything (and feel free to remove this message); if you do not accept it, we regret that you will no longer be able to contribute to the encyclopedia. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#NoMultiLicense template if you have any comments.

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:BertrandIsland.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
