Wrong[edit]

The entry is completely wrong.Mersey Beat was a name coined by Bill Harry for his newspaper, published in July 1961. The music of the scene was later to be called 'The Liverpool Sound' or 'The Mersey Sound', never 'Mersey Beat.' It only began to be referred to that in later years after copyright laws were changed because the actual name was regustered under British law at the time. Mersey Beat is a newspaper, not a music. Liverpool Sound, Mersey Sound, yes. Not Mersey Beat. Have a look at: http://www.mersey-beat.net

Split Off[edit]

I have split the tv series away from the music and added links to eachother in the adjacent articles Cokehabit 15:31, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
