How do you defeat a three-term incumbent to complete an unexpired term? If there is an incumbent then there is no unexpired term! Rlquall 00:17, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Without checking my notes, I believe it was because when the districts were redrawn the terms were adjusted. I should have used a different word than "unexpired", say "two-year" term. PedanticallySpeaking 16:34, Mar 23, 2005 (UTC)
The article states that he had a forty-year career as a perennial candidate, but only documents activities beginning in 1976? Info about the ten years prior would be helpful and make the article even better than it already is. Rlquall 18:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
