Did san hill actually get stabbed in the movie?

While it is believed that he died, there is no official evidence of this. His death from the novelization could not have occured since it conflicted with the events of the movie, and what we saw from the comic book showed several others dying alongside him simultaneously which also conflicts with the movie.
