For some reason, this category only contained U.S. politicians who were also Methodists (not a very large category). I did a search of article text for "methodist" and added each individual who was a methodist (not just who went to a methodist university of school). Still needs expansion. --ABQCat 23:20, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

No proof for a lot of these people[edit]

Several of these people are in this Methodists category, but there is no evidence in their respective articles that they are actually a memeber of a methodist church.

E.g., Ed Bryant. Somehow, he's in this category, but the article says nothing about his religious affiliation. Same for Rutherford B. Hayes. He attended some methodist academy, but that does not mean he is a methodist.

I think all these names need to be gone through, and the category removed unless the article substantiates significant methodist affiliation.
