Note that only some of the smaller stones came from Pembrokeshire, the much larger Sarsens came from the Marlborough Downs about 20 miles to the north.

experimental archaeology is not the same as re-enactment. One tries to answer a concrete question by scientific methods, the other is a form of recreation.
