Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello MichaelCaricofe, welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 10:56, 5 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Musicals[edit]

Hi! I'm leaving you this message because your name is listed as a participant in WikiProject Musicals (previously WikiProject Broadway) or I feel you may be interested in the project. It seems that the project has laid dormant for quite awhile, but I would like to work toward getting it up and operative. I have a few ideas that I've outlined on the talk page, and would love your input. Working together, I think we can signifigantly improve the quality of the articles relating to musicals on Wikipedia. —  MusicMaker 06:08, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy dispute

WikiProject Musical Theatre wants your help!

You are listed as either an active or an inactive participant of WikiProject Musical Theatre. This project has been dormant for a while, but we are very close to reaching consensus on several of the project's main documents (see the talk page for details). Once we get that business and formality out of the way, we are all free to attack the musical theatre articles of Wikipedia and have a wonderful Musical Theatre party! We want you to be a part of that!

So, come and join us! Add your input to the last few business items and then let's get this party started!
-- The WikiProject Musical Theatre team.
P.S. Invite your friends to join to! We need all the help we can get!

WPMT Roll Call and COTM[edit]

You're receiving this message because you are currently listed as a member of WikiProject Musical Theatre. Please post at the talk page to let us know if you're still with the project. Feel free to post on the talk page about what musical theatre-related work you're doing or to weigh in on the current discussions on the talk page.

Nominations for our Collaboration of the Month are currently being accepted. What should we focus on for the month of November? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much, folks! Happy editing! —  MusicMaker5376 04:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

and Hello! right back[edit]

Hi Michael. Thanks for stopping by. I don't really know what I can say. I'm far from an authority on the subject. But, I think what you wrote is one of the saddest realities I can think of. I am grateful to have found a place to attend here that has a different more open relationship with God where I've been able to make a lot of friends and participate in many volunteer endeavors. I am able to be honest with everyone about how I feel at any given moment about God and life. And what I get back is that no one has it all figured out. And the moment someone thinks they do is when they are furthest from the truth. You're not supposed to hold on too tightly. Then one gets the impression that they can control God- or worst, speak for Him. The gall! Don't let anyone take away your right to check in with your maker. You're not wrong. But with that said, I think that there are a lot of Godly people, with wisdom and peace and love, who are not found in church congregations. Those places tend to alienate as many as they welcome. I think there is nothing sexier than a church with ALL kinds of people. Here in Canada, I think it's easier to find that kind of place. I'm from Louisiana, and that's a whole different story. But the good news is that times are changing. And quicker than I thought they would just a few years ago. I used to anticipate that tolorance would increase, but now I see complete acceptance play out in fits and starts. I think it's best to live as if the world we want exists already. I wish you well, Michael! Affinity likely •Hello• 16:15, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Modulus Financial Engineering has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company with one weak reference. Zero gnews hits since it was founded.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  7  03:32, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting wikiboxen[edit]

{{helpme}} I would like to stack my boxen on my User page so that it is in a square matrix of x by y dimension, and I can't figure out how to get them in that format. It's really only for visual appeal, but it does rather bother me, and seems as though it should be a simple fix, yet I can't make it work. Help?

You need to use a table; example:
{|
|-
| 1 || 2 || 3
|-
| 4 || 5 || 6
|-
| 7 || 8 || 9
|}
produces:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:30, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
