How about an internal link (not a redirect) to Bohai for now? Koreans use the Korean pronunciation of the kings' names, and treat the history of Barhae/Bohai as part of Korean history. If you want to redirect to Bohai, I would like to add the Hangeul and romanized pronunciation of the Hangeul to the table of kings. --Sewing 02:30, 11 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I agree with your last sentence though the table will be too complicated.
The annoying romanization issue... All historical sources are written in Chinese and people pronounce them as they like. Northern Chinese use Mandarin readings, Japanese use Kanji readings, Korean use Korean readings, and Bohai people would have used their own readings which were unknown but certainly different from Pinyin or modern Korean pronunciation. There is no problem in CJKV.
But when one refers to them in English or other non-CJKV languages, he/she find it difficult to select a romanization system. In general, Koreans use their pronunciation even in English: Manhwa [Manga], Geomdo [Kendo], Yudo [Judo], etc. I don't like this method, but there seems no better solution. --Nanshu 03:03, 11 Oct 2003 (UTC)

How about just Hangeul, but not romanization of Hangeul? There's a chance that someone who's interested in the history of Bohai from a Korean point of view will be able to read Hangeul, so that they wouldn't need the romanization... --Sewing 17:43, 11 Oct 2003 (UTC)
