Lots of red names[edit]

Shouldn't anyone appearing in most "List of foo" articles on wikipedia, generally be notable enough for a wikipedia article? --Aim Here 19:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What is a harpsichordist?[edit]

Who should be included in this list? I have removed some names (mostly in the pop world) who cannot (IMHO admittedly) really be called harpsichordists because this is not their principal instrument. They may be called 'keyboard players' but the harpsichord does not predominate, and I think it has to for one to be included here. Nick Michael 14:40, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Popularly known vs. "correct" names[edit]

I recently added Yella Pessl to the list; today, I noticed that she was already there--under the name Yella Pessl Sobotka. The latter, I find, is in fact her full correct name, but she used only Yella Pessl professionally, and I suspect that of the 17 need-a-life record collectors who know of her, at least 12 would know her only as "Yella Pessl" and would never spot her in the "S" listings. (That figure was 13 until a few minutes ago....) This problem has cropped up in other "list of artists" pages that I've browsed; anybody got a good suggestion for a solution?

McCoy tyner - harpsichordist?[edit]

McCoy Tyner does not belong on this list. Just because he played some harpsichord on one of his albums doesn't render him a harpsichordist. His main instrument is, obviously, the piano. Remove harpists (players of the harp) from the list[edit]
