Should the LOTR Sync be added?[edit]

According to this site, IKSOSE: 3 syncs up with LOTR: FOTR á la Dark Side of the Rainbow. Does the sync warrant mention on this page? I have tried it myself; it does indeed work, and is pretty damn cool.

I'm guessing it's original resaerch, so no. Rehevkor 15:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Storylines" section / Clean-up[edit]

The whole "storylines" section is complete speculation -- the article even says that it was taken from an unofficial fansite.

...The following interpretations have been taken from
   Cobalt & Calcium...

Furthermore, the storyline section as a whole is not well-written -- some parts are even written in first-person,

...I picture it like in movies...

and there's even vandalism, and responses to the interpretation, worked right into the article.

...(Serously, you're writing in the first person, trying to describe
the way YOU imagine how the song plays out. Unless this is Claudio
   himself, you suck.)

I suggest that this whole section of the page be deleted, or else moved to The Bag On Line Adventures, where information and interpretation about the Coheed & Cambria storyline belong. This page is about a music album, not the story behind it, so there's no reason that 80% of the page should be filled with speculation about the storyline.

I would remove the content myself, but I think I'll be polite and give people a chance to discuss it first. -- Wikivader 22:22, 4 August 2006 (UTC

Most of the stuff in here is fairly accurate, but not all. For Instance, Newo Ikkin is never With Claudio after he heads home in the second comic. And Jesse is not captured, he is killed later on at the hands of Mayo, much later. And now to clear up one thing that really bothers me, it is NOT Favor House!!! the actual song title is "A Favor, House Atlantic". House Atlantic is where Wilhelm resides And Yes Al is the sniper, and he does do Claudio a favor by helping him. and Ambellina is the "Beautiful" one in the song, as Newo isn't there. And the War isn't to save Earth, which is actually called Paris Earth, it's to save what remains of the keywork. Earth is DESTROYED!!! Along with the rest of Sector 12. Coheed destroy the Star of Sirius that holds Sector 12 in place. 68.13.43.192 03:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC)The Crowing[reply]
Well, I don't know about all the facts... I haven't read any of the comics. But whether the information is right or wrong, I think parts of the Storyline section should be rewritten to make it more encyclopedic... for example, no first-person "I think..." sentences, and no pure speculation. I'll be editing the article now to fix up a few things, but I'll try not to remove any important information. (In any case, this should probably be moved to the Bag On Line Adventures page later on. --Wikivader 02:28, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've marked the article for cleanup, since I really don't know how much of this should be moved, or deleted, or kept on this page... and like the other guy pointed out, some of the information might be incorrect, so someone who actually knows a lot about the concept should separate the facts from the guesswork. --Wikivader 02:41, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Even if someone knows a lot about the concept, the facts are not out there. No one can say what the facts are unless they are Claudio themselves, so please stop acting like you know what it is, please.

"The following interpretations have been taken from Cobalt & Calcium, a Coheed and Cambria fansite. It should be noted that these are just interpretations. Nothing from In Keeping Secrets has been confirmed." Nobody's acting like they know what it is. They're just posting the most prominent theories. Yes, it undoubtedly needs to be rewritten. No, it does not need to be deleted. Whether you like it or not, the storyline IS a major part of the musical album that the article is about. -JR

The Storylines Changes[edit]

I completely took out the The Storylines section and just made the link to the The Amory Wars page as it tells the story there. --DevilSavior 01:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I originally marked this article for cleanup because of the storyline summary... I figured it would be rewritten, but DevilSavior is right to remove it, since such information should be placed on The Amory Wars page. Now that the storyline section is gone, I don't think anything still needs to be cleaned up, so I'm removing the clean-up notice. --Wikivader 23:03, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:CoheedAndCambriaIKSSE3.jpg[edit]

Image:CoheedAndCambriaIKSSE3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Guy Vasquez or Mike Miller...[edit]

Because here it says Guy Vasquez will be the artist for the new Amory Wars series, while The_Amory_Wars says Mike Miller. Funny thing is - it's pretty much EXACTLY the same segment (ie. Talking about IKSOSE:3) so - who is it going to be? Can we clean this up please, no random changes! SKaiser (talk) 22:07, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Skip Motif[edit]

I removed the section below as it appears to be original research. Does anyone have a reference for this so-called 'skip-motif'? Karst (talk) 15:25, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Like its predecessor, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, the time skip motif found in songs such as "Everything Evil" is present. In "The Ring in Return", the motif is played by the piano as well as string instruments, a change from the piano-only playing of The Second Stage Turbine Blade. It is heard again, at the end of "The Light & the Glass", this time played on a glockenspiel as well as an extended introduction. There are also many other "flashbacks" to The Second Stage Turbine Blade and their songs. In "21:13", there is a short segment that starts at the 5:46 mark that uses the same music as "Time Consumer" from the previous album. Also, "21:13" ends with a reprise of the ominous secret track "IRO-Bot" with more electric guitar parts added.

Dates[edit]

Is it correct that the album came out in October 2003, but the first single didn’t come out until June 2004? Sergecross73 msg me 02:46, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
