Rename article[edit]

Can we rename this article Public housing in the United Kingdom in line with other similar articles.Leutha (talk) 07:41, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Came to the page to suggest that there are two articles here- council estates, and the building known as the council house, it seem to make eminent sense to fork. At the moment, we talk about flats (appartment blocks) in an article about an interesting house form, and stir in some contentious politics into the mix! Do we have a consensus or a time scale?-- Clem Rutter (talk) 16:20, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK time to be WP:BOLD @Leutha: the consensus is overwelming.-- Clem Rutter (talk) 22:16, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The file and talk page have been moved to Public housing in the United Kingdom. The name Council Hpouse is now free to be rewritten as an architecture of housing article.-- Clem Rutter (talk) 22:31, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A CC article that can be used as source-- Clem Rutter (talk) 09:58, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Following the split, council estate should no longer redirect here. --Ef80 (talk) 21:56, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. And the good news - it no longer is. It now anchors at Public housing in the United Kingdom#Council housing estates .--ClemRutter (talk) 22:57, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Not for me it doesn't - just checked. --Ef80 (talk) 13:25, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've now updated it, which I guess I should have done in the first place, though I wanted to ensure consensus. --Ef80 (talk) 13:36, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Puzzling- I have checked the view history- and my edit was there- but I did discover Council estates which was still unreformed I have done that too! ClemRutter (talk) 14:25, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think we have confusion between council estate and Council Estate.--Ef80 (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"The People's House" disambiguation page links here. Why?[edit]

The disambiguation page for The People's House links here, saying "a building specification proposed by Harold Macmillan, Minister of Housing in Churchill's 1951 government". The page doesn't mention "The People's House" or Harold Macmillan at all. What's going on? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twirlip (talkcontribs) 19:24, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think that this link must move to the public Housing article- this link gives plenty of information. conservativehome ClemRutter (talk) 19:58, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Right or Wrong to Buy?[edit]

With the increasing problem of homelessness, might not mention be made about "right to buy" in relation to the negative impact this scheme has had on the supply of much-needed social housing?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.166.244 (talk) 09:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
