This is also a possible indicator of intelligence" No, no, no. It's transmission speed. That has nothing to do with intelligence, as the allusion to rats suggests. Different organisms have different transmission times because they are differently adapted to different environments. Dolphins need to integrate sound information in an environment (under water) where the speed of sound is five time the speed of sound in the atmosphere. orthogonal 01:18, 20 Nov 2003 (UTC)
