Misspelling adoption[edit]

I tried to adopt the misspelling of settlement. I got this template settlement (settlemet) from the Wikipedia page on how to adopt a word and added to the misspellings list, but I do not know where to insert it. Originally, I inserted it in the article and received a notification stating that I should avoid inserting search links into an article. If someone knows, please provide the answer. State, province, voivodeship???[edit]

I don't know why this word "voivodeship" is used in the English language pages. It seems to be an attempt to use a Polish term with English phonetics. But it is not an English word, by historical standards. Why is "province" or "state" not appropriate? Both are perfectly good English words that convey a clear meaning. If you look at the Nowogard page, the introduction illustrates the confusion. It reads "Nowogard is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Province of Northwestern Poland." How clear is that? If you go to articles for other countries you find English terms used in English pages. Hanover, Germany, is in the State of Lower Saxony. We don't use the German term "Land" or the German spelling of Niedersachsen. We don't even spell the city's name the same way the Germans do, but it is accepted English practice. Why not the same for Poland? Mswan57 (talk) 16:49, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
