Seems to be either a neologism that hasn't gained much traction/usage, and/or original research. Only about 1500 hits for "Empire lite", virtually all either referring to a New York Times article by Michael Ignatieff, and/or his subsequent book (that doesn't seem to be available from any major bookseller), despite being first published nearly two years ago; or an unrelated pairing of the words. • Delete. There are no citations other than a book that nobody seems to have heard of. Not verifiable and an argument could be made for POV. Inky 03:27, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Comment - Empire Lite: Nation Building in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan by Michael Ignatieff - you can buy it from Amazon.co.uk. [1]. So it exists. If you want a redirect - how about the author's article? Average Earthman 14:11, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Neologism. Can anyone think of a suitable redirect target? Gazpacho 08:05, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. But I think two things should happen. First it should be made clear that this is an article about a particlar book and second it should be npov'ed. If this needs go, then I suggest a merge with Michael Ignatieff. Sander123 13:32, 4 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. I am not opposed to including the content, but it is incorrectly placed. 'Empire lite' is a neologism stemming from the book title Empire lite. There is nothing wrong with including the book. There is nothing wrong with including this article, as long as it is not under the neologistic title Empire lite. Iñgólemo←• 06:28, 2004 Nov 8 (UTC)
  • Dont deleteI have read the book 'Empire Lite' and am well aware of the aricles validity. It is a literary term and that should be noted. R Beare
