Didn't need deletion, but ...[edit]

... is very substandard as an encyclopedia article, and reads, as the person asking for its deletion stated, like a resumé. I'll try to work on this a little. Person is very enclopedic as he was both a World War II naval hero and a Member of Congress, albeit for only one term. Rlquall 02:48, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Western Tennessee"[edit]

The former Sixth Congressional district as then constituted and the one won by William Andrerson (naval officer) on the same day as Grider won the former Ninth can truly be said to be in "western Tennessee" (roughly the western half and defined as being west of Nashville) but was not in West Tennessee, a legal term of art describing that part of the state between the Mississippi River and the north-flowing (downstream) portion of the Tennessee River.
