change text to illustration[edit]

in several places, the words 'cartoon drawing' are used. the word illustration is succinct and accurate. Rqpaine (talk) 16:38, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Does anybody know where the best information for EAPs regarding their generator capabilities is?

Poymer not the only type[edit]

There should be a link to Pneumatic artificial muscles either from this article or on an Artificial muscle disambiguation page. Of course, mechanical prostheses using cord, levers, etc. have been in use forever. Egmonster 08:07, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The problem is that the generic category "artificial muscles" links to this. There should be a separate article for that since there are a number of things, like Pneumatic artificial muscles that would fall in that category. The ways things are set-up now is totally screwed-up. 75.61.97.29 (talk) 23:34, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Visual[edit]

this article greatly lacks of visuals.--Infestor (talk) 14:22, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong citation[edit]

As the name implies, these gel actuators can also be made with bucky balls instead of nanotubes[8]. but ref. [8] is not on bucky balls (or fullerene) and to my knowledge a bucky gel actuator with fullerene instead of carbon nanotubes was never presented. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.251.200.3 (talk) 12:42, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
