this article was simply a rip-off, uncredited of a page from this web site:[1] It should have probably been deleted a long time ago since its against Wikipedia copyright policy. I fixed up the article, and added a more concrete, sourced edit.--Mikerussell 05:51, 2005 May 2 (UTC)

reworked[edit]

THe article downplayed the seriousness of the incident, and amounted to a hymn to Coleman Young. I added sources, which recognize it as pretty scary, and see Young as having made things both worse and better. DavidOaks (talk) 22:24, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article now suggests that Young brought on a second wave of rioting from his words - if this is true I'd like to be able to read a source that suggests that. When I search the magazine you cited I get no mention of Coleman, riot, livernois: [2] Seth (talk) 20:44, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
After consulting the cited source (Jet Magazine) I see absolutely nothing in there which says Young made things worse in fact it quotes the mayors aide "That the violence did not spread and intensify was largely due to the efforts of Detroit Mayor Coleman Young". I am altering the article to reflect that - if you have other sources that you neglected to include, please provide them. Seth (talk) 00:17, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
