My goodness, how clueless the BBC is. The amendments are not particularly controversial, and it doesn't mention the very significant fact that the KMT supports them and the TSU opposes them.

Pan-Green alliance has won the election with 49.6% of the vote and 149 seats out of 294. A major victory for the DPP and TSU, while the PFP led by Soong continues its downward spiral into history.

The PRC has strongly criticised the proposal to replace the National Assembly with a popular referendum.

Majority[edit]

Why does the information box refer to the DPP as the 'majority party'? It was the largest party in the vote, but it did not have a majority, which is by definition more than 50%. It had a plurality and was the largest party, but did not have a majority. That should be fixed. ludahai 魯大海 (talk) 23:07, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
