I removed the link to Chief Sanpitch in the infobox, because from the text, the origin seemed uncertain. Since it needs a longer explanation about the uncertainty, I felt it was better dealt with in the text than just a link at the top. If there is anything else you disagree with, please be a bit more specific; I haven't actually removed any other information, just rearranging. Kennethaw88talk 04:29, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding and for working on the article. I wasn't quite as careful as I could have been in reading the history page; I though that some text which you just moved were new edits. I've made a more positive statement that the county was named after chief sanpitch. I'll continue to look it over and try to clean it up. Sanpitch (talk) 03:23, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I added a small section about the historic area of Sanpete, as it is something I would have liked to have. I think it would be helpful to have a map there to show the historic boundaries. I Mitchell's think the 1880 or Colton's 1856 are the best I have seen, but I don't know how to add images in a clean way. Regardless, I put a site that is hosting both maps (and some others) as a source for the edits. Thyn Bandwagon (talk) 23:10, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
