Agree with you. With the current state, any mentioning of poland or polish in the english wikipedia cannot be trusted. Its a bad situation. Thank your work. (also, thanks for the correction of the year of birth in the Cathedral of Magdeburg, that was my error). It is painful to see for example a three year old article fighting only about Copernicus' nationality, and then have Nicolaus Copernicus listed only as polish by ... you know who. I once had a similiar fight related to Kosovo. Wikipedia depserately needs a solution for this type of NPOV (National point of view), but there is none in sight. By the way, have you ever considered getting a login? That makes communication much easier. And just ignore the ridiculing of Space Cadet (Liebchen??? - what a mXXXX). Thanks Chris Talk I appreciate your message and your thanks. I have to agree with you, entering articles in wikipedia and then have them deliberately vandalized time and time again, is a bad situation. This slanted NPOV (National Point of View), as you call it, of people like Emax, make a resonable wikipedia impossible. I'll repeat here what I said two weeks ago on the User 24.. site, it is futile. Wikipedia is not set up to be accurate, these Disclaimers need to be posted all over every article, not just on the bottom. Trying to keep wikipedia accurate is a big waste of time.
- I think it is not quite as bad as you think it is. Many articles in Wikipedia are of excellent quality, and many others are pretty good. There is of course lots of vandalism, but most of it is handled well (warn user, then block from editing). Problem is that the community here has not yet decided how to handle this national pushing. Personally, i think this is also a form of vandalism and trolling. Anyway, please don't despair but keep on editing. But, as Albert Einstein once said (loosely translated): The ruling by the dumb people cannot be overcome, because there are so many of them, and their vote counts as much as ours. NPOV description Nationalistic Polish Opinionated View a'la .--Emax
Chris 73, when I mention these inaccurate highly NPOV (Nationalistic Polish Opinionated View) Wikipedia articles, I am specifically talking about the ones dealing with eastern European territories. Other articles might be pretty good, but those specific ones are worse than worthless, they are absurd and might be dangerous. I think this is a good explanation and posted it in the Wikipedia article on [Arthur Schopenhauer http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Arthur_Schopenhauer&action=history]). Thanks for inserting that, I do like this as well, quite interesting and even educational. To your Einstein's translation of his quote, when you think about it that seems to explain the problems in democracies, where so many of them and on top of it the loudest ones rule?
- Please don't add this NPOV comment in the article itself. I just removed it again (and also made Schopenhauer german). No problem with the edit comment, however, agree with that. - At the wikipedia, there is a so called "Three Revert" rule. If he reverts an article more than three times in 24 hours, he gets blocked from editing for (usually) 24 hours. If he would make one more revert for this article in the next 24 hours, he gets zapped (assuming someone notices it). Luckily, you're still around, SC. But what gives with this Emax-like behavior? It's surprising that him (and to a lesser degree you) are still around. So why don't you cool it- homeboy ?
My homie and I are both very self critical, detail attentive and neutrality oriented individuals. It is with pity and sorrow that we watch You propagate some pseudoscientific theories, which were very popular in mid XIX century, when Poland did not exist as an independent country. Maybe You would like to start a Prussian Wikipedia, where You and those like You could freely popularize Your "pickelhaube" version of Polish history. Sincerely,

Hi Chris, you have probably have also noticed by now, how wasteful any attempts to correct any Wikipedia articles with Emax or Space Cadet's 'contributions' are. I don't know why I even bother, I'll stop. Good luck to you though, you will need it. In anwer to my 'luckily' comment, I had already moved it to the SC Talk page. But I appreciate your advice.
