Actions in 1769 and 1773 are missing[edit]

The first important battle was fought at Hotin, Ottomans repulsed Russian attack. Ottoman victory should be added. Also in 1773, Ottomans fought back and scored several victories, those should be added, too.

Self-contradictory sentence[edit]

This sentence doesn't make sense: "The war followed the external tensions within Poland." Or at least it's very unclear (I'm guessing that whoever wrote it had in mind a central subject which the war was external to - in other words, writing from the perspective of a particular country). Russo-Turkish war is incorrect[edit]

You cannot call this Russo-Turkish war becasue Turkey did not exist until later in the XX century. The correct name is Russo-Ottoman war. 213.27.190.94 (talk) 13:26, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Armies[edit]

How can tiny Crimean Khaganate have 100.000 soldiers while great Russian Empire have 125.000 soldiers. it was not convincing at all. Can you explain this ? 200.000 Ottoman soldier is also not convincing. 176.90.207.41 (talk) 20:07, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Russia or Russian Empire[edit]

In the article, Ottoman Empire is mentioned as Ottoman Empire or High Porte, but Russian Empire is mentioned as Russia (which is wrong). The correct way is Russian Empire. I'm suggesting renaming all "Russia" to "Russian Empire", if nobody objects.Iron Archer (talk) 16:03, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
