most influential composer of late 2oth century[edit]

Ph. Glass being the "most influential composer of the late 20th century" is suggestiv, highly debatable and supports a distorted image of the pluralistic musical landscape of the respected time. It certainly should not open a neutrally descriptive encyclopedic article. The many referenced sources don't meet academic standards or represent a musicologically contextualized perspective. To mark his meaning and impact for music history I want to instead suggest "is one of the most commercially successful" composers (not debatable) or "one of the founding figures of minimalist music" (musicologically/historically approved, see "Oxford Dictionary of Music" et. al.).
