The statement that Barbeau Peak is the highest in NA "east of the Rockies" is very hard to support. Since Barbeau is on an island, it would seem one would have to consider ALL islands that are part of the NA continent, including Greenland and Hispaniola. Both have many mountains taller than Barbeau. Even if you ignore these other islands (which would be a completely arbitrary decision), there is still the fact that Guadalupe Peak, TX, is 200ft higher than Barbeau, and is east of the Rockies. The Rockies end at the southern end of the Sangre de Cristo in NM, so the Guadalupe Mtns are clearly "east of the Rockies" 9:58, Sep 28, 2005
