A Softer World[edit]

Not particulary notable webcomic that's been online for ~18 months. Alexa Traffic Rank for asofterworld.com: 528,542, well below the often cited 100,000 threshold. Number of google hits seem to be from the RSS feed from the author's blog[1], and forums. (Maybe there's market/need for wikiblogpedia.org) Niteowlneils 04:45, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Ephemera and not notable, plus advertising. Geogre 17:27, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not a notable webcomic. The Alexa threshold for webcomics is 200,000 actually, but this still doesn't make it. Article is thinly disguised advertising. Gwalla | Talk 22:25, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • vote changed to keep. If Warren Ellis has been promoting it, it's probably notable. Gwalla | Talk 03:45, 7 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not-notable. jni 09:30, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable, thus not encyclopedic topic, thus not encyclopedic. --Improv 20:11, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep Can be rewritten for NPOV. Hopefully, someone can get permission to restore the example image as well. Artistically interesting, a valid topic for an article. --L33tminion | (talk) 19:59, Nov 5, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - Softer World has gotten high profile attention from Warren Ellis, and the Webcomic guidelines are not even close to policy. And I sincerely doubt that Joey Comeau is the sort to do vanity promotion. Snowspinner 16:53, Nov 6, 2004 (UTC)
    • Furthermore, I have expanded and NPOVed the article, so I request, at the very least, a stay of execution/revote. Snowspinner 17:00, Nov 6, 2004 (UTC)
