recent new CMS which appear to become relevant[edit]

Various TYPO3 forks and refactorings/rewritings appear to gain importance. I believe it would be useful to add them. In particular the ``successor NEOS, https://www.neos.io/ see also https://symfony.fi/entry/refactoring-typo3-cms-neos-flow-and-symfony

So far there is no Wikipedia article on Neos, only a short section inside the typo3 article, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TYPO3#Neos

not content with Info on Typo3[edit]

In the cell with the databases, there are MySQL,Oracle and PostgreSQL equally listed. That miss the fact, that the main database is MySQL and the other are only additional. While it is perhaps possible to skip MysQL, it is a good choice to "shot yourself in the foot". Fedora Commons Removal[edit]

 Not done but this request points out a weakness in the Content management system article. I suspect there are many people that would state or believe that a CMS must include publishing, editing and modifying content. However, the CMS article allows for use of the term "CMS" to also apply to digital asset management systems (DAM) which are systems that typically do not provide for publishing, editing or modifying content. Fedora Commons is a DAM and so ended up being included on the list of content management systems.
One option is to move nearly everything in this article to List of web content management systems leaving the few CMS systems that are not web content management systems in this article.
FWIW, there's also List of content management frameworks where the article content is worded to restrict the use of the phrase "content management" as only being for managing web content. --Marc Kupper|talk 03:36, 20 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that this particular list article specifically says that it's a list of "notable" content management systems, but the Computhink Wikipedia article (the developers of ContentVerse) says they have less than 100 employees. When I do a quick Google search for lists of content management systems[1][2] ContentVerse doesn't seem to come up in other lists of CMS systems. I believe when/if the company grows it may become large enough for inclusion, but at the moment, the list doesn't appear to be intended to be comprehensive and the company doesn't appear to be notable. Not done for now: Are you asking for an update to the "IBM Enterprise Content Management" line in the Proprietary software section (which links to this article), or for a new entry? If the former, we can proceed, but keeping the same name as now. If the latter, please note that there is an HTML comment in the article saying:

Page notice added[edit]

David Gerard and MrX, I did not even notice the editnotice as WP keeps tossing up notices about elections or whatever meaning I tend to ignore text surrounded by a box at the top of a page. A scan of the edits since January 2014 shows that people have needed to remove links to entries without articles roughly 50 times in 18 months. On 23 February 2015‎ there's an edit-comment "Doesn't anyone read the huge edit notice that says: ..."
I'm wondering if adding background-color:yellow; to the headerstyle parameter would help or if the editors that have added lines about non-notable CMS systems have seen and ignored the editnotice. --Marc Kupper|talk 01:32, 20 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Recommend newly notable CMS[edit]

Over time users come across up and coming CMS that have met the Notable requirement and need a page set up for them (A requirement for this list) and to be added to this list. Perhaps individuals can put the recommended CMS below so ones might understand why they are not already part of this list.

light purple background is barely noticeable[edit]

The table's colour code is too subtle. Invisible, actually: I was completely unaware of its existence, until I noticed it mentioned in the sentence immediately preceding the first table: in the first column, the cell background colour is either light purple or cyan. Could we choose colours that contrast each other more strongly?
