Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hugh Merrick

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hugh Merrick was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to delete. Should probably be without prejudice: topic may be somewhat more notable as a mountain climber. Cool Hand Luke 20:53, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Note: this was a lost VfD nomination. Has not been listed. I'm neutral on this article myself. Not terribly notable, but not hopelessly obscure. Cool Hand Luke 05:03, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Errrr, he isn't so bad, but perhaps it would be possible to merge with the Mastermind article with a line saying, "Its oldest contestant was Hugh Merrick, who appeared at the age of XX, lost in the first round, and yet went on later to appear on Brain of Britain in XXXX." • Delete. Non-notable. utcursch 08:55, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like some other VfD subpages, is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion, or the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
