Untitled[edit]

I've included several bands and links to their pages here in brackets which I think is more intuitive and less difficult for readers to parse. One can simply click the link next to the band name in the text. Putting them at the bottom would be confusing, after all, the numbering suggests that there are now 26 such links! If you find links to bands or clubs I didn't include, please put them in. This was everything I could find.

And a note about the bands: I exactly copied the bands listed in a City Weekly article to avoid interjecting my own personal bias. I believe more local bands could be included, but they should not have more detail than the bands listed in the article now. If you want to include more than a few sentences of information, I think you ought to make a seperate article on the band and only put a couple of lines here. This way we don't turn the article into an ad. CHL 02:11, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Copy-edit / cleanup[edit]

I've heavily copy-edited this as requested, it looks like there's been lots of 'drive-by' text dumps, lots of promotional and peacock text and lots of unreferenced additions. Editors wishing to improve this mess article will need to add copious reliable references and decide which bands / performers are notable and who aren't. Contemporary Utah music scene cleanup June 2011[edit]

I have made some heavy copy and organizational edits to the Contemporary Utah music scene section, however this whole article needs tidying. I did my best to narrow down the relevant and recognized bands. Someone into metal music has added generous sections about the genre's local scene, which I trimmed down and balanced by adding a more broad summary of the local music scene in general. Someone else who knows the scene can double check my work. Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ubiqwitus (talkcontribs) 07:55, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
