Untitled[edit]

Apparently there is no comprehensive list of Salt Lake mayors...until now...I went to the main Library, they had nothing, so I walked across the street to the City/County building and stood up on the 3rd floor and copied the names and dates from the paintings there. Very interesting, I encourage everyone to have a look-see. Anyways, whoever was mayor from 1935-38 doesnt have a painting, so thus, not in the list... Alas...if anyone can find it out, well, then put it in... Ugh, the things I do for wiki... -Jon 23:46, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)

After some more research, apparently that mayor was disgraced in scandal, thus apparently no painting... -Jon 00:10, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Wow! This is great. I wanted to add it in when I put the city councilors in (imitating other cities like Las Vegas), but wasn't able to. There was no concise list of the mayors, just as you said. I have a couple of books on the history of Salt Lake City and they don't have a list either, so this is very useful.
Incidentally, the City-County building is great. I've been there several times to take photos and other nonsense because a friend of mine claims that it's haunted. She says taking a skeptic makes any findings more believable. Cool Hand Luke 02:06, 5 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Harold B. Lee[edit]

The wiki article on Harold B. Lee says that he was mayor of Salt Lake City at one time, although it does not say when. He is not on the list of mayors. Is the article on Lee in error? Alanraywiki 23:13, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. --TrustTruth 19:57, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do you happen to have what years he was mayor? He is not on this list of mayors. I removed the phrase on the Harold B. Lee page about him being mayor until a source can be found. Thanks, Alanraywiki 20:02, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes as in "the article on Lee [is] in error." He was not mayor. --TrustTruth 20:38, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I misread my own posting. Thanks for the information. Alanraywiki 21:48, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Erin Mendenhall[edit]

Suggest checking party affiliation, and add reference to source that Mendenhall is a Democrat. Voterrecords.com has two historical voter registration entries for Erin C. Mendenhall. Both are "unaffiliated", not Democrat. [1], [2]
