Here Comes Everyone[edit]

Hi Kizu, welcome to the English Wikipedia. This wiki (and many of the European wikis) use ISO 8859-1 encoding, which means you can't create page titles or username which use Japanese script. So your username looks like a weird collection of latin extended characters. -- Tim Starling 09:42, Feb 8, 2004 (UTC)

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. You might want to consider asking for a name change at Wikipedia:Changing username if you'd like something more readable. Some other pages you might find useful are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 22:53, Feb 8, 2004 (UTC)

Sorry for the edit[edit]

Hi Kizu. :) I'm sorry that I write this in English, I don't know German nor Japanese. >_<

I edited your English User page in order to make it more easy to read. English is not my native language either, so I thought I could give you some help with your translation. Sorry for the intromission.

Mr. Kuge Toshiya[edit]

On the talk page of this recently transwikied article, you wrote:

Commemoration for Mr. Kuge Toshiya. I don't know about him. Then is there anyone who tells me the meaning of 'he is survived by ...'? Its meaning is 'Mr. Kuge was survived but soon after unfortunately died' or 'he was died but his memory still lives in his parents'? User:KIZU

The phrase "he is survived by" means simply that these are the members of his immediate family who are still alive. It tells us that he has neither wife nor children still living (possibly he has never had any), but that both of his parents are still alive. It may also mean that he has no living brothers or sisters, but this is not completely clear. It is a traditional wording for obituaries in English-speaking countries, and unfortunately its precise meaning varies from place to place, and even from family to family.

Please contact me if you wish to talk further about this. I am happy to talk further.

The tribute to Mr Toshiya is now located in the memorial wiki. Andrewa 02:14, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Aha, thank you for your clarification. I understood. KIZU 04:07, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Hi, since you use wikipedia in several languages I would like to tell you about a project I started for learning, up to now mainly vocabulary. It is described and discussed at my user page. If you are interested please let me know there. Get-back-world-respect 19:24, 5 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Jakob Boehme[edit]

KIZU, thanks for your compliments on the Boehme article - and thanks for writing so much of the original article! You asked what references I used - unfortunately I can't remember. I know I had just read a very small book (pamphlet really) on Boehme from the Quaker publisher Pendle Hill, which I no longer possess. I think I was using that as a guide and double-checking facts against a large number of on-line references. The interpretative remarks about his theology are just based on my own understanding which is mostly from secondary sources I've read here & there - I've read very little of Boehme. --Hob 03:32, 30 Jun 2004 (UTC)
