Bombe[edit]

Great start at Bombe! Did you know there was a WikiMoney bounty available for writing this article? See WikiMoney New Articles. There's also a photo of a replica Bombe, at Alan Turing, I think. — Matt 09:25, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)

A PHILOLOGIST ON ESPERANTO[edit]

hey! the link is not dead!

see: http://donh.best.vwh.net/Languages/tolkien1.html

Inco is not a CSD - non-encyclopedic-ness is not a CSD reason - it's VfD. I removed the tag, but you can VfD it if you want. Cheers, Whosyourjudas (talk) 04:36, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Calcutta -> Kolkata name change[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you voted in the Wikipedia:Naming policy poll to keep the Wikipedia policy of naming an article with the most familiar English name. You may not be aware that another attempt has begun to rename the Calcutta article to Kolkata, which is blatantly not the most common name of the city, whether it's official or not. If you want to vote on the issue you can do so at Talk:Calcutta. Cheers. -- Necrothesp 13:43, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Cross namespace links[edit]

Please do not make changes like these again. Those links were deliberately external links because cross-namespace linking from within articles is not allowed. The reason is because this breaks mirror sites, which do keep mirrored copies of articles and templates, but not project namespace stuff. --Cyde Weys 22:43, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Georgia Move[edit]

As a past participant in the discussion on how to handle the Georgia pages, I thought you might be interested to know that there's a new attempt to reach consensus on the matter being addressed at Talk:Georgia (country)#Requested_Move_-_July_2006. Please come by and share your thoughts to help form a consensus. --Vengeful Cynic 03:48, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
