Talk:Phylum (disambiguation)

I am turning this into a redirect page because it has become a disambiguation page with 100% of the "what links here" going to scientific classification and because even the linguistics page does not mention the alternate definition of "phylum". Rossami 22:08, 23 Oct 2003 (UTC)

The article was restored here, with new information. However all of it was about the phyla of the kingdom Animalia, which should be discussed there rather than on a page about phyla in general, and already is. Since no further justification for having these pages as separate articles has been given, I'm recreating the redirect. Josh 23:42, 9 Sep 2004 (UTC)

It's been changed back to a redirect multiple times, who keeps reverting? 24.76.141.237 23:51, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Requested move[edit]

I suggest that this article be moved to Phylum (disambiguation), and that Phylum (biology) be moved here. The biological sense is by far the dominant meaning for phlyum. The current Phylum page is a disambiguation between the biological meaning and a nonexistent Phylum (linguistics). Alternatively, the current Phylum page could just be deleted instead of being moved to Phylum (disambiguation). — Knowledge Seeker 05:02, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
