The source of the Middle Fork[edit]

Is Williams Lake the source of the Middle Fork? Does anyone know? AndrewEnns (talk) 01:28, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the USGS GNIS page (U.S. Geological Survey Geographic Names Information System: Middle Fork Snoqualmie River) and the topo maps linked to from that page, the Middle Fork continues a bit beyond Williams Lake to one of the Chain Lakes. They give the source coordinates as 47.5584457, -121.2375967. I don't know how to link to the topo maps directly, which is annoying, but from the GNIS page if you click "GNIS in Google Map" and then zoom in and click the "Topo" option you can view topo maps with icons indicates river sources and such. Of course the USGS GNIS information is not always correct, and their coordinates can be a bit rough--but pretty good. Pfly (talk) 05:25, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
