There is already a Spanish version of the article but I don't know how to add it to the kist of languages on the left. Could you add it for me?

YurikBot will add it automatically. --logixoul 22:01, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I added it, rather than waiting for a bot to do so. You can look at the page source, near the bottom, to see the syntax. --Mairi 05:26, 27 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

black triangle[edit]

does inverted mean pointing up? by inverted do we mean the nazi badge is inverted so it points up to rebel against acceptance?

No, an inverted triangle is one with the apex pointing down. - Nunh-huh 06:45, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

in game development[edit]

"Black triangle" is a game industry term for reaching a milestone where the substantial code underpinnings are done but there is little visible result. e.g. The team has completed the full rendering pipeline which may involve thousands of lines of code, but the output of the first test of the pipeline results in nothing more than a single black triangle on the screen.

This is strongly related to "bottom up" design. It is also a common point of contention between developers and publishers, as non-engineers are often unable to understand the significance of a black triangle event. Publishers may become unduly concerned about milestone schedules and risk canceling the project because of a lack of visible output. The developer on the other hand feels frustrated because they are aware that large portions of the game are substantially complete and feel that the publisher is ignoring the significance of the work finished. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.14.228.19 (talk) 23:43, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
