Title[edit]

There is a difference between US fires on journalists and Journalists hit by US fire. The former gives the impression that the US shot at them knowingly, or worse, deliberately. I think it is a matter of common knowledege that such an act is contrary to stated US policy, at least.

So let's try to make the announcement of the incident a bit more neutral, shall we? If Arab and Western accounts differ, let's describe those differenceces. And if advocates claim that the US has or does not have a policy of deliberately targeting journalists, let us report on that controversy. --Uncle Ed 19:46 Apr 9, 2003 (UTC)

I meant to use the word "fires" as a noun and "US" as an adjective as used in "U.S. invasion of Afghanistan". I always try to be neutral (althogh I have to admit I was mad at this incident) so if you feel this is misleading I'm willing to modify it. --Duckie 22:27 Apr 9, 2003 (UTC)

The Guardian Newspaper (which couldn't be called pro-Bush, or pro-war even slightly) is reporting that there is some speculation that it may have been an Iraqi missile that hit the hotel, and not an American tank. According to at least one reporter, the US tanks would have had to fire around a corner to hit the spot that was damaged. - 216.229.90.232

It looks like it takes a long time to decide the wording so I took it back with the temporary title "Deaths of 3 journalists in Baghdad," which is the most conservative title I can think of.

I know Guardian and am interested in the article. I want to write the article as close as the fact so if you show us the link I'll include it in the article.
