Result: Not much uncited material, but enough to fail criterion 2. A committed editor could probably get this back to GA status with ease. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:14, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A GA from 2008. There is some uncited material that needs to be addressed. Onegreatjoke (talk) 18:22, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Patria Disaster[edit]

In 1940 the Hagana placed a bomb on the SS Patria in the harbor of Haifa to stop the deportation of jewish migrants. 267 people died. See Meir Chazan: The Patria Affair: Moderates vs. Activists in Mapai in the 1940s. 5glogger (talk) 15:15, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In demographics, there is a line stating:

"significant portion of the immigrants from the former Soviet Union either lack official religious-ethnic classification or are Non-Jews as their mothers were not Jewish (Jewishness is passes down through the mother.)"

The reference is not related to this content, so I couldn't check what was meant by "as their mothers were not Jewish" as this is ambiguous and seemingly unrelated to the content.

At the very least the last line is grammatically incorrect.

I recommend deleting this whole section unless a valid reference is found Chaimish (talk) 22:20, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done — No part of the sentence appears to be supported by the source, so I have removed it. PopoDameron talk 10:28, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wild boars[edit]

Haifa stopped culling wild boars which increased their prevalence in many of Haifa's neighborhoods, regardless of countermeasures such as fixating trash cans. Some cases of wild boar attacks were reported. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vollach (talkcontribs) 01:08, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

SFN errors[edit]

The scripts only spot errors when templates are used. (I have them installed.) I added the template to the erisiting SFNs which reported the error. (I did not add the SFNs and the source cite was already missing.) I did not find the appropriate source cite searching Wikipedia articles. I noted this in the edit comment. Yes, this added another article to 9,500+ articles with a no-tartget error. However, it did accomplish my goal: error was fixed. User-duck (talk) 01:29, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mount Carmel reference[edit]

Mount Carmel should be directly linked to in the first section of the page on Haifa, quite obviously! And the rest of the mentions of it on the page should likewise be links. A quality of life thing, but also to reflect its relative importance to the city in so many ways. Arrrmand (talk) 15:11, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

MOS advises against linking every instance (MOS:DUPLINK), but you're certainly right it should be linked in the first section, and I added a couple of links in prominent locations following that. CMD (talk) 02:11, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please change

[χeˈfa]

to

[χejˈfa] / [ˈχajfa]

to reflect the actual pronunciations. SuzieMillen (talk) 05:17, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In general it's pronounced [ˈχajfa] in Hebrew also. Listen to this on the Israeli government's tourism channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWvp4zS6zzE GordonGlottal (talk) 15:27, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please update name of mayor[edit]

Yona Yahav has been elected mayor of Haifa in recent elections. DeeTsameret (talk) 12:49, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Need to add a sports to the sports section in the Haifa Article. The sports team is the rugby team Wild Boars which is part of Maccabi Haifa. It has the following wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haifa_Wild_Boars. Goldiceberg (talk) 11:19, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
