Westernmost highway point[edit]

This has come up on some other talk page, but I'm not sure if a reliable source has tackled it or not. Since I had a second, I took a look at Google Maps. As precisely as I could pinpoint things, it appears that the end of the Tofty Road is at 151.949441 W, while the end of the road at the Anchor Point beach is at 151.867788 W. Pinging @BIL:, who has shown an interest in this issue and may have been the one to raise this point in the discussion I refer to above. It is written in this article: Anchor Point is the westernmost point in the North American highway system (linking to National Highway System (United States)). But I think that the Tofty Road is a local road, not a part of the highway system. I don't know where this was discussed, I was probably not involved. Because of this ping I searched and found an article listing Northernmost or Westernmost US road, List of extreme points of the United States. It has "Westernmost point on the continuous road system of North America" which however seems to be Tofty Road.--BIL (talk) 19:22, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
