Check out the link to "MOBs" in the first paragraph. I seriously doubt that the author actually intended to refer to the "Montreux-Oberland Bernois" Swiss railway. However, I don't know what MOB is supposed to stand for, so I can't do anything about it.

Mob means 'mobile', and refers to an NPC in a MUD (typically a monster meant to be killed by a player)... I don't know if it's meant to be 'MOB' or 'mob' (I don't believe it's an acronym...) but I've changed it to link to Mobile (MUD) in any case. - Lady Lysine Ikinsile 18:46, Jun 9, 2004 (UTC)
I changed the sense of that sentence - I think the point should be that PKs prefer killing live players to NPC mobs. -- DrBob 19:32, 9 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Yes, that's better. I don't really like this article though, it comes across as rather anti-PK. I'll see if I can rework it a bit. - Lady Lysine Ikinsile 11:28, Jun 10, 2004 (UTC)

PvP and PK[edit]

This article confuses the more encompassing Player versus player combat with player killing. While the later is a subset of the former, consensual Player versus player combat does exist in forms such as dueling. I am currently authoring an article on the more broad term PvP and suggest this article on PKing be merged with that article. -- Dejitarob 01:55, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Sounds good. I originally made the PvP article redirect here to prevent a near-duplicate article from being created. --Mrwojo 17:30, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
