Howdy from a Wikipedian as of early '04. Having found myself making use of Wikipedia's excellent content on a nearly daily basis, I felt it was only right to contribute what little my own meager talents can manage in return.

Much doffing of hats to those that make the encyclopedia great, and those that make those that make the encyclopedia great. Kudos is on back-order, but I'll present some as and when it becomes available.

I'm probably best known around these parts for generating reports listing things needing done from the publically available database dumps of the Wikipedia databases, available here.

Right now, the English-language Wikipedia has 47,273,552 editors, of whom 123,674 (0.26%) are 'active' and 860 (0.002%) are administrators.

Sounds like the admins are outnumbered? Well, turning this around...

There is one administrator for each 143.8 'active' users. It's just not a big deal.
