Genre[edit]

Don't call this band emo, hardcore, screamo, post-hardcore, etc. They are none of these genres.

---Why not? They scream their lyrics (common in hardcore, screamo, and post-hardcore), while playing power chords very fast, and very distorted (signature of hardcore punk rock). You have renamed it to rock. The Beatles is rock. A Static Lullaby is screamo or 'emocore'.

Whoever is above me, that was the most ridiculous comment ive read. Learn something about music and start disregarding stereotypes. granted, they arent screamo, emo, or emocore. Orchid, saetia, i would set myself on fire for you,etc. is screamo. Embrace and rites of spring are emo/emocore (they are synonomous.) These guys are definitely not hardcore punk like mongoloids, gorilla biscuits, etc. Id go with a metal influence post-hardcore, which many people also consider metalcore (granted, older metalcore is somewhat different). I dont see why the person from the top wont call them post-hardcore. Probably because of older p-h bands like fugazi and hot water music. But honestly, post-hardcore is such a loosely defined genre. So I deleted the part about some good songs by ASL. That's purely a matter of opinion (even if I did agree with most of it) and shouldn't be included in the article. I replaced it with a discography. If somebody wants to add the tracklisting, go for it, otherwise I'll do it later.

Known??[edit]

I've deleted "They are known for their heavy guitar lines and fast drums." Trey're not known. And their guitar lines and "fast drum" are equal to 100 other emocore bands...

I have tagged File:Staticlullaby.jpg, which is in use in this article for deletion because it does not have a copyright tag. If a copyright tag is not added within seven days the image will be deleted. --Chris 00:23, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in A Static Lullaby[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of A Static Lullaby's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
