This page should probably redirect to something like Animals in the Harry Potter series or similar. The animals listed here are not really "pets" in the conventional sense, given that they are supposed to have magical properties and are often used for a particular purpose -- post owls are hardly pets, for example. There are at least two other pages for animals in general, Magical_beasts_(Harry_Potter) and Minor_Harry_Potter_Beasts. The animals listed here are all owned by a character in the books, which is why they're listed as pets (even if some of them are useful in addition to being pets). --Icarus 21:27, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. I'm just not convinced that a page like this is warranted, especially if there are already other animal-related articles/lists. Exploding Boy 03:26, September 4, 2005 (UTC)
