This article has some of the same problems with its "History" section and with encyclopedicness elsewhere as the other articles about NYC FMs, including WWPR-FM and the misnamed WQHT-FM. The title of this article is correct, however. 18.26.0.18 00:58, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The Z Morning Zoo features Stupid News with John Bell, Danielle's Sleaze Report, "Carolina's Rage Page", Phone Taps (a prank call to an unsuspecting friend or relative of a listener), a stunt performed by Greg T, various contests, and news and weather reports.

Fair use rationale for Image:Z100 logo.gif[edit]

Image:Z100 logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Why are other regions not listed[edit]

"WHTZ, also known as Z100, is a radio station that serves New York City and the neighboring Northern New Jersey region"

Why are these regions, Long Island, Westchester, the Hudson River Valley, Pike and Monroe Counties in northeastern Pennsylvania not listed as areas which receive broadcasting from WHTZ.   • Oppose Z100 is a different page, and you haven't given a reason why we should delete it to merge it into a hatnote. Further, you haven't shown this is the primary topic of Z100 either. Jingle Ball, Subjective - replace with history?[edit]

"The 2011 Jingle Ball was considered the biggest Jingle Ball Z100 has ever had. It drew in artists like..."

My suggestions:

  • ADD "History of Jingle Ball" with years and bands that played. Fun/useful as I can't find a complete history online. This is a large, notable concert in the NYC-metro area. Possibly frame-out a table? (Let people fill in as they can).
  • REMOVE (above)Quote/Sentence, clearly subjective and no citation. Anyone who has been there will likely consider their year "the best/biggest". eg..

  • Oppose, as the editor who undid the combination last year. The license history of the current WHTZ has nothing to do with the early WMGM. For two separate radio stations to be covered in one article, the connection must be pretty tight (operating on the same frequency AND with the same personnel, call sign or format) — see my essay, User:Sammi Brie/One or Two. This is not that case. John Smith and Jane Doe aren't the same person because they lived in the same house at different times. DrChuck's comment on the original discussion is correct.   • Oppose: These are two different stations on two different licenses, with a gap of several years between them and no connection other than using the same frequency. Had WMGM's reapplication for 100.3 been approved over WVNJ's application back in the late 1950s, it might be a different story, but that didn't happen, so here we are. (Plus, by the logic of the proposal, which amounts to "all content about the usage of this frequency in this market must be in one single article", we'd end up having to merge shared-time stations into one article, which would be impractical and, in a different way, could be construed as another way to "clutter up Wikipedia".
