The previous version of this page repeated much of the same information that appears on the individual election pages, e.g., the provincial breakdown. I have created summary tables to replace this page that are similar to those I created for 1960-79. I think that this approach allows the reader to review quickly a particular party's progress over time. No information has been lost through this, since the individual election pages provide the full breakdown that was previsouly on this page, for those who are interested.
