Someone else listed it here, and forgot to finish the subpage. Is this in the public domain? If so I'd say it needs transwikification to WikiSource. [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 13:26, Dec 2, 2004 (UTC) Is not in public domain as George Orwell lived and wrote after 1924. Can I speedy this?

George Orwell died 1950, thus it will be PD in 2020 in most countries. Thus it's not for VFD, it's a copyvio. If it were free it would belong to WikiSource. andy 13:32, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Last time I looked into this it was in regard to Beasts of England, and it seemed clear that it is still under copyright in the U.S. One indication of this is that it is one of the books that is available through Project Gutenberg of Australia but not Project Gutenberg itself.
