Category talk:Possible copyright violations

Several of these are just stubs where someone copy and pasted something to create a quick and easy article. Wouldn't it be more efficient if people would change wording and label them as stubs rather than plastering it with the copyright notice? --Butters 16:05, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Butters, In the case of the stubs you mention you can do just that; re-write the article on the /Temp link given in the copyright violation notice. An administrator will come in a week or two and clean everything up. This allows copyright violations (no matter how small) to be deleted from the history of the article. The listing period also allows review and time to grant permission if the author is so inclined. --Duk 17:07, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sort of. Everytime you include a ((copyvio)) in an article, it puts that article in this Category. This page is a list of all the articles in the category, so, every article that has a ((copyvio)) tag gets listed here.-Poli 07:59, 2005 Jun 26 (UTC)

Adding an index[edit]

Could it be possible (and helpfull) if an index at the top of the page (# and A-Z) were created so you don't have to hit "See next page" for more details if you want to look something spcific up by the first letter (or number)? --Admiral Roo July 1, 2005 17:58 (UTC)

This is the language of the template: does it mean I should have deleted the offending material, and then leave it to an admin to find it in the page history, or does it mean something else? --Rrburke 02:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
